In August 2025, Life Skills Promoters (LISP) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) commissioned a Labor Market Assessment (LMA) for e-bicycle and e-motorcycle repair in Kenya. The assessment confirmed strong market demand and significant skills gaps in electric systems and battery handling.
The LMA recommends developing a standalone Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) at KNQF Level 2. This TOR seeks a technical expert to lead the initial development phase, following NITA guidelines, to produce Draft Zero of the curriculum.
Key curriculum components will include:
* Electrical systems, diagnostics, and safety standards
* Entrepreneurship and soft skills
* Modular, work-based learning with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
