Lifeskills Promoters (LISP) is a non-Governmental organization working among young people in Kenya. LISP aims at empowering young people with life skills that enhance their abilities to cope with their day-to-day challenges of life and enhance their productivity. LISP has implemented various integrated life skills-based programs that empower young people to take charge of their lives and engage productively. LISP collaborates and works closely with churches, communities, government departments, corporates, and like-minded agencies.
Communications Assistant at LISP
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (with occasional travel to the field)

Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for youth engagement and social impact? Do you excel in storytelling, content creation, and digital engagement? LISP is looking for a Communications Assistant to support the development and implementation of our communication strategy around youth engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of a communication strategy that enhances youth engagement.
- Capture and document impact stories from youth programs and community initiatives.
- Create engaging content (social media posts, blogs, newsletters, and videos) to amplify LISP’s work.
- Guide youth-serving organizations in developing vibrant and youth-friendly communication strategies.
- Manage and update LISP’s digital platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Assist in organizing campaigns, events, and advocacy initiatives to drive youth participation.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on effective communication for youth-serving organizations.
- Travel to the field to document program impact and support communication efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in communications, content creation, or digital marketing (preferably in a social impact organization).
- Strong storytelling and writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Proficiency in social media management and digital engagement strategies.
- Basic photography, videography, and graphic design skills are an added advantage.
- Experience in facilitating workshops and training sessions is a plus.
- Passion for youth empowerment and community development.
- Commitment to LISP’s values, including integrity, inclusivity, and social impact.
