This Project entails ‘Comprehensive and Compassionate care for Orphans and vulnerable children in their Families and Communities in Southern Nyanza Kenya.
It is also known as Wezesha Project, and it aims at empowering the communities and enabling them to respond to the needs of Orphaned and vulnerable Children (OVC) Comprehensively and Compassionately.
The project targets 20,000 Orphaned and vulnerable Children (OVC) in Migori, Kisii and Homabay Counties of Southern Nyanza. The project is making major contributions towards enhancing local responses to the growing number of Orphaned and vulnerable Children (OVC) within the selected counties. This is to compliment the work of the County and National Government, Public Institutions, and other Civil Society Organizations within the identified counties.
This is a Five-Year cooperative agreement that started in June 2013 and ends in June 2018. The project is being implemented in partnership with St John’s Community Center (SJCC) and Christian Partnership on AIDS in Kenya (CPAK).
